3rd year students need to consider whether they are doing TY or going straight to 5th year.
TY students need to decide on your Leaving Cert subjects before going into 5th year.
Information presentation for parents:
A Senior Cycle Options presentation will be available to parents of 3rd year and TY students. This will provide information on Transition Year, 5th year Subject Choice, and Leaving Cert Applied. It will take place on Wednesday 13th March at 7:30pm at Coláiste Bhaile Chláir.
Information for students:
An information assembly will be given to 3rd year and TY students on Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th March during school. All students should attend school that day.
A Subject Symposium event will take place on Thursday 14th March in school. This will allow 3rd year and TY students to talk to 5th year students from each of the Leaving Cert subjects available. This has proven very popular for students to find out information from their senior cycle peers.
Individual Research:
Completing as much research as possible is very important before finalising your subjects for 5th/6th year. By completing the handouts below, you can gain a greater understanding of what subjects are available for Leaving Cert. You should also understand what the subjects involve, e.g. what does the curriculum cover, how are they assessed, is there project work?

The deadline for submitting your subjects is Friday 22nd March.
