Grant Scheme for Stationary and Classroom Resources
Dear Parents for 2024/2025.
I hope your son/daughter are enjoying the start of the summer holidays and are busy around the house helping out.
We are in the process of developing our class lists for 1st , 2nd and 3rd year next year and will be working on on timetables throughout the summer months.
We are also starting to look at how we will spend some of the classroom resources grant for those going into 1st , 2nd and 3rd year.
Currently it is being broken into 3 sections and you DO NOT have to buy any of below as you may have done in previous years yourself or through Way2Pay payments to the school.
We will be adding to the lists below as the summer progresses and as other tenders are finalised.
Stationary All Junior Cycle and Cúnamh Year groups

A specific box of resources for each Junior cycle and Cúnamh year group to include pens and pencils, hardbacks, highlighters, copybooks, colouring pencils, Science hardbacks, Maths set

Study Skills sets to include: Revision whiteboards (hardbacked for home use and flexible for school use) with markers, index card revision sets A6 size.

Teachers will also provide some additional subject specific stationary resources to students during the year also in optional and compulsory subjects. Eg Dictionaries as needed.

Digital Resources
Once all funds have been assigned above and tenders complete there will also be a
Digital Device Loan Scheme established . This is a limited programme for those who need the support the most. And we have prepared a tender to supply a small number of devices. If you wish to be considered for this programme please follow the links above and email
amongey@cbcg.ie with your submission. It will also be used to support those students whose devices become damaged and while waiting for repairs. Devices will remain the property of the school and must be returned at the end of 3rd year or when own device returned. There will also be replacement and repair fees if these school devices become damaged while in the possession of students. These devices are not covered by school insurance.

Reminder: Deadline for buying your school computer is 30th June. To ensure that your computer is available at the start of the school year, please order before this date.
Follow these steps to purchase the computer needed for all first years:
2) Enter code CGCBC2024 & Select 1st Years Package
3) Select Device -There is one device to offer this year, this is the new ASUS laptop. It comes with a stylus pen inside the device and a larger and better-quality screen than the previous Lenovo device.
4) You can optionally select to add a hard shell (similar to OtterBox) type case for the device. We do recommend this purchase, as it has managed to safe keep previous devices well.
5) Finally, you need to select a support package (Monthly payment, Bi-Annual or Annual payment) for a period of maximum 3 years. This will ensure the following below:
- Five-year Accidental Warranty on the Device (if device gets dropped, screen breaks - it will be replaced straight away.
- Five-year Pick and Replace with Grafton Education (Warranty Repairs - e.g. keyboard stops working)
- Parent and Student Support Helpdesk, Email & Phone Coverage by Grafton Education.
