As Coláiste Bhaile Chláir is in Gaeltacht an Eachréidh, we are pleased to offer your child some classes through the medium of Irish as they enter 1st year in Coláiste Bhaile Chláir – Physical Education and CSPE. This is our 4th year running the Scéim Aitheantais Scoileanna Gaeltachta and we are adding more subjects each year.
All our students currently in the Scéim have said their spoken Gaeilge has improved from ‘maith to an-mhaith’ and their written Gaeilge has improved from ‘réasúnta to maith’. The students in first year who avail of these classes will be the only 1st year group offered a trip to the Gaeltacht. Students will do a short interview at the start of the year with our Irish teachers prior to commencing to assess standard.
